Beverly’s love and dedication to horses runs deep in her blood. Riding since the tender age of 4, and starting her competitive riding career by the age of 6, she has never outgrown the horse phase and it has been the driving force of who she is today. She has been coaching Showjumping and Dressage for 18 years, is the founder of Bevlin Warmblood Stud, and owner of Bevlin Equestrian Centre – a competitive private yard focusing on developing riders and their horses for higher levels of showjumping and dressage. She has worked abroad as a professional groom and work rider for a few years before returning to SA.
Coaching riders and schooling horses is her everyday life, and she does it with love and passion for the horses and riders, with the goal that riders can achieve all their dreams with dedication and commitment to the end result.
Correct way of going, training scale, Biomechanics of horse and rider, and approaching each horse as an individual is Beverly’s biggest passion, together with helping horses understand their jobs and approaching them with kindness and patience. Her saying goes “A happy, relaxed, and understood horse is a horse that will try harder than necessary for us”.
